How it works The moka pot consists of three parts: a lower water chamber, a funnel insert for ground coffee, and an upper chamber where the espresso collects. How the moka pot works Fill the lower chamber with water (below the safety valve), add ground coffee into the filter and screw the parts together. When heated on the stove, hot water rises through the coffee and within minutes your Italian espresso is ready.
